Unfog ("we," "our," or "the app") is a travel-tracking app developed by Merve Tuncer Ozer, operating as MT Studio. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using Unfog, you agree to this policy.
Account information. When you sign in with Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive basic profile information such as your name, email address, and profile photo. If you sign in as a guest, we create an anonymous account without this information. You can also set a username and avatar.
Travel data you provide. We store the travel information you add: the countries and landmarks you've visited, visit dates, places you've lived, and your bucket list. This is the core content of the app.
Photos. If you choose to add photos to your visits — taken with your camera or selected from your photo library — they are uploaded and stored privately. Your photos are accessible only to you and are not shared with other users.
Usage and diagnostic data. We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how the app is used and to diagnose problems. This includes app-interaction events, general device information (such as device model, operating system version, and app version), an approximate location (such as your country or region) that our analytics provider estimates from your IP address, a few account properties (such as whether you use a guest account and your selected home country), and crash logs. This information may be linked to an identifier for your account so we can attribute usage and issues accurately. We use it only to improve the app, and we do not sell it.
We do not sell your personal information.
Unfog relies on the following third-party services, each with its own privacy policy:
We encourage you to review their privacy policies to understand how they handle data.
Your account and travel data are stored on secure servers provided by Supabase. Photos are kept in a private storage area accessible only to you through short-lived, signed links. Access is restricted by security rules so that users can only access their own information. Usage and diagnostic data is stored by our analytics and crash-reporting providers (Google Firebase). Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and your data may be stored or processed on servers located outside your country.
We take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, travel data, and uploaded photos from our systems.
Depending on your region (including under the EU/UK GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, and to request a copy of it. You can exercise most of these rights directly in the app (editing or deleting your entries, or deleting your account). For any other request, contact us at the email below.
Unfog is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
